Abstract:Objective To investigate application effect of percutaneous nephroscopy in patients with ureteral calculi. Methods A total of 84 patients with ureteral calculi treated in Ganzhou Municipal Hospital of Jiangxi Province from March 2017 to June 2021 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into the control group (n=42) and the observation group (n=42) according to random number table method. The control group was treated by ureteroscopy and the observation group was treated by percutaneous nephroscopy. The renal function related indexes [creatinine (Cr),glomerular filtration rate (GFR),blood urea nitrogen (BUN)],visual analogue scale (VAS),clinical indexes, stone clearance rate and postoperative complications were compared between the two groups. Results Before operation, there were no significant differences in Cr,GFR and BUN levels between the two groups (P>0.05).One week after operation, the levels of Cr and BUN in the two groups were lower than those before operation, the GFR in the two groups was higher than that before operation, and the BUN level in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Before operation, there was no significant difference in VAS score between the two groups (P>0.05).One week after operation, the VAS scores of the two groups were lower than those before operation, and the VAS score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The intraoperative blood loss of the observation group was more than that of the control group, the hospital stay of the observation group was longer than that of the control group, and the stone clearance rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in operation time between the two groups (P>0.05).The total incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Percutaneous nephroscopy in the treatment of patients with ureteral calculi has the advantages of less complications, high stone clearance rate and improving renal function, but there is a risk of massive hemorrhage.
