Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of acupuncture combined with Guipi Pills in frequent episodic tension-type headache (FETTH).Methods A total of 50 FETTH patients admitted to the People′s Hospital Affiliated to Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January to December 2021 were selected as the research subjects, and they were divided into experimental group (25 cases) and control group (25 cases) by random number table method. The patients in the experimental group were treated with acupuncture and oral Guipi Pills, and the patients in the control group were treated with oral Flupentixol and Melitracen Tablets. The headache visual analogue scale (VAS)score and headache symptom score were compared between the two groups. Results There was no significant difference in headache VAS score between the two groups before treatment (P>0.05).The headache VAS score after treatment of two groups were lower than those before treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference of headache VAS sccore between the two groups after treatment (P>0.05).There were no significant differences in the scores of headache symptoms between the two groups before treatment (P>0.05).After treatment, the scores of headache symptoms in both groups were lower than those before treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).However,there were no significant differences in the scores of headache symptoms between the two groups after treatment (P>0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture combined with Guipi Pills can effectively improve the headache symptoms of FETTH patients, and the curative effect is equivalent to that of Flupentixol and melitracen tablets.
