Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of cognitive function training combined with daily living ability training in the treatment of patients with Alzheimer′s disease. Methods A total of 160 patients with Alzheimer′s disease admitted to the Department of Geriatrics, Union Medical College Shenzhen Hospital, Huazhong University of Science and Technology from January 2020 to January 2021 were selected as the research objects. The patients were divided into control group and experimental group according to random number table method, with 80 patients in each group. The control group underwent routine nursing intervention. On this basis, patients in the experimental group received cognitive function training combined with daily living ability training, the mini-mental state examination (MMSE) and the Barthel index (BI) were used to evaluate the changes of cognitive function and activities of daily living of two groups before and after intervention. The behavioral pathology in Alzheimer′s disease (BEHAVE-AD) and the training/intervention effects of the two groups were compared before and after the intervention. Results The MMSE score and BI score of the two groups before intervention were not statistically different (P>0.05). After 6 months of intervention, the MMSE score and BI score of the two groups of patients were higher than those before the intervention, and the scores of experimental group were higher than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The BEHAVE-AD scores of the two groups before intervention were not statistically significant (P>0.05). After 6 months of intervention, the BEHAVE-AD score of the two groups was lower than that before the intervention, and the score of experimental group was lower than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The total training efficiency of the experimental group was better than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Cognitive function training and daily living ability training for patients with Alzheimer′s disease can effectively improve the cognitive function of the patients and improve the ability of daily living of the patients. The training effect is significant and it is worthy of clinical application.
