Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of nutritional management with high protein proportions in patients with craniocerebral injury and hyponatremia. Methods A total of 98 patients with craniocerebral injury complicated with hyponatremia diagnosed in the Second People′s Hospital of Zhaoqing City from January 2018 to December 2020 were collected, and they were divided into the trial group (49 cases) and the control group (49 cases) according to the random number table method. The trial group was given nutritional management with high protein proportions, the total protein volume was 2.0-2.2 g/(kg·d). The control group was given nutritional management for the conventional proportions, the total protein volume was 1.0-1.5 g/(kg·d). Both groups were given an equal heat supply, and both groups lasted for 14 days. The time required for correction of hyponatremia, the recurrence rate of hyponatremia, serum albumin level, lymphocyte count, 24-hour urine volume, urea nitrogen level, creatinine level, time of hospital stay and mortality during hospitalization were compared between the two groups. Results The correction time required for hyponatremia in the trial group was shorter than that the control group, the recurrence rate of hyponatremia in the trial group was lower than that in the control group, with significant statistic differences (P<0.05). The 24-hour urine volume in the trial group was less than that in the control group, the serum albumin levels, and lymphocyte counts in the trial group were higher than those the control group, with significant statistic differences (P<0.05). There were no significant statistic differences in the levels of urea nitrogen, creatinine, time of hospital stay and mortality during hospitalization between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion Nutritional management with high protein proportions can improve short-term efficacy, nutritional status, and immunity recovery in patients with craniocerebral injury and hyponatremia, and short periods of high protein proportions supply does not cause kidney damage.
