Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of combined management mode of patients and their families in gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). Methods A total of 62 patients with GDM treated in Fuzhou First People′s Hospital from January 2021 to January 2022 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group (31 cases) and observation group (31 cases) by random number table method. The control group was treated with routine nursing, and the observation group was treated with joint management mode of patients and their families on the basis of routine nursing. Both groups continued to intervene until the end of delivery. The treatment compliance, quality of life and pregnancy outcome were compared between the two groups. Results There were no significant differences in treatment compliance and quality of life between the two groups before intervention (P>0.05). After intervention, the scores of medication compliance, body mass control, diet control and proper exercise in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). After intervention, quality of life scale for patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (DMQLS) score in the observation was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The total incidence of adverse pregnancy outcomes in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The combined management mode of patients and their families can improve the treatment compliance of GDM patients, improve the quality of life and reduce the occurrence of adverse pregnancy outcomes.
