Abstract:Objective To analyze the correlation between Helsinki CT score and postoperative intracranial pressure in patients with traumatic brain injury (TBI). Methods A total of 88 patients with TBI who were treated in Fengcheng Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from August 2020 to August 2021 were retrospectively selected as research objects. Head CT examination and postoperative intracranial pressure (ICP) detection were performed on all patients. Epidural hematoma, subdural hematoma and pressure on suprasellar cistern were recorded after CT scan, and Helsinki CT was scored. The patients were divided into normal group (n=10), mild group (n=25), moderate group (n=31) and severe group (n=22) according to the ICP value within 24 h after surgery. The Helsinki CT score of patients with different ICP values was compared, and Spearman rank correlation analysis model was used to analyze the correlation between Helsinki CT score and ICP value. Results ICP in normal group was lower than those in mild group, moderate group and severe group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). ICP in mild group was lower than those in moderate group and severe group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). ICP in moderate group was lower than that in severe group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Spearman rank correlation results showed that Helsinki CT score was positively correlated with ICP value (P<0.05). Conclusion Helsinki CT score is significantly correlated with ICP, which can be used to clinically evaluate the disease condition of patients with TBI.
