Abstract: Objective To investigate the effect of Dexmedetomidine combined with Ropivacaine ultrasound-guided nerve block on the level of serum pain indexes in patients undergoing thoracoscopic surgery. Methods From February 2019 to October 2020,93 patients who underwent thoracoscopic surgery in the Department of Anesthesiology,Longyan First Hospital Affiliated to Fujian Medical University were selected as research objects. They were divided into the control group (46 cases) and the observation group (47 cases) by random number table method.Patients in the control group were treated with Ropivacaine sound-guided nerve block, while patients in the observation group were treated with Dexmedetomidine combined with Ropivacaine sound-guided nerve block. The serum pain index, pain degree, sedation effect, comfort and the total incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results Prostaglandin E2 (PGE2),substance P (SP),interleukin-17 (IL-17) and high mobility cluster protein (HMGB1) in the observation group after operation were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).There were no statistically significant differences between the two groups in the scores of resting and exercise visual analogue scale (VAS) scores at 8 hours after operation (P>0.05).The scores of resting and exercise VAS at 16 and 24 hours after operation in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).There were no statistically significant differences between the Ramsay score and Bruggrmann comfort scale (BCS) score at 8 hours after operation between the two groups (P>0.05).The Ramsay score and BCS score at 16 and 24 hours after operation in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in observation group (10.61%) was lower than that in control group (28.24%),and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Dexmedetomidine combined with Ropivacaine ultrasound-guided nerve block can reduce the level of serum pain in patients undergoing thoracoscopic surgery, improve the degree of pain, enhance the sedation effect and comfort, and the incidence of complications is lower.
