Abstract:Objective To evaluate the perioperative analgesic effect of ultrasound-guided type-2 of pectoral nerve(Pecs Ⅱ) block in patients undergoing modified radical mastectomy. Methods A total of 100 elective breast surgery patients admitted to the Affiliated Hospital of Putian College from December 2019 to December 2020 were selected as the research objects, and were divided into P group and G group according to the random number table method, with 50 patients in each group.P group was treated with general anesthesia combined with Pecs Ⅱblock, and G group was treated with general anesthesia alone. The total amount of perioperative anesthesia, postoperative visual analogue scale(VAS) score, the number of patient controlled analgesia (PCA)compression, time of first postoperative pain, incidence of postoperative nausea and vomiting after MRM were compared between the two groups. The analgesic efficacy of 30 min after Pecs Ⅱblock for respective quadrant of breast in P group were evaluated. Results The consumption of Propofol and Remifentanil in P group were less than those in G group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).VAS scores at 2,4 and 6 h after surgery in P group were lower than those in G group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The first postoperative pain time in P group was longer than that in G group, the number of PCA compression in P group was lower than that in G group, and the occurrence of postoperative nausea and vomiting in P group was lower than that in G group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).In P group,VAS scores of the axillary and outer quadrant of breast were lower than those of inner quadrant of breast, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Ultrasound-guided Pecs Ⅱblock can provide effective analgesia for modified radical mastectomy, reduce the consumption of anesthesia in perioperative period, reduce postoperative VAS score, and reduce the incidence of postoperative nausea and vomiting.Meanwhile, the analgesic efficacy of Pecs Ⅱblock on outer quadrant of breast has better than inner quadrant of breast.
