Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of continuous nursing on patients with chronic sinusitis undergoing functional endoscopic sinus surgery. Methods A total of 60 patients with chronic sinusitis treated in Shanwei Second People′s Hospital between January 2020 and July 2021 were selected as the research objects, and they were divided into observation group (30 cases) and control group (30 cases) by the random number table method. Both groups required functional endoscopic sinus surgery, and the control group was given routine postoperative nursing while the observation group was additionally given continuous nursing for intervention on this basis. At 3 months after intervention, the rehabilitation status and review results of nasal endoscopy were compared between the two groups of patients. The nasal cavity irrigation compliance of the two groups was compared before and after intervention. Results At 3 months after intervention, the total effective rate of rehabilitation and the abnormal rate of review results of nasal endoscopy of patients in observation group were lower than those in control group at the same time point, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The total nasal cavity irrigation compliance at 3 months after intervention in observation group was higher than that in control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of continuous nursing in the rehabilitation nursing of patients with chronic sinusitis undergoing functional endoscopic sinus surgery can enhance the nasal cavity irrigation compliance and effectively improve the rehabilitation status of patients.
