Effect of situational communication intervention combined with dual track interactive nursing on emotional symptoms and quality of life in young patients with bipolar disorder

Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of situational communication intervention combined with dual track interactive nursing on the emotional symptoms and quality of life in young patients with bipolar disorder. Methods A total of 80 patients with bipolar disorder admitted to the Third People′s Hospital of Shangrao City from January 2018 to January 2021 were selected as the research subjects, and they were divided into experimental group (n=40) and control group (n=40) according to the random number table method. The control group was given dual track interactive nursing intervention, while the experimental group combined with situational communication intervention on the basis of the control group. The depression score, anxiety score and score of ability of daily living before and after intervention were compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, the scores of depression and anxiety in experimental group were lower than those in control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). After intervention,the score of ability of daily living impairment in experimental group was lower than that in control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Situational communication intervention combined with dual track interactive nursing for young patients with bipolar disorder can effectively relieve the anxiety and depression, improve the psychological health status, enhance the ability of daily living, and further improve the quality of life of patients.
