Abstract:Objective To explore the current situation and influencing factors of surgical nurses′ knowledge, belief and practice in perioperative blood glucose management. Methods From March 2017 to April 2020, 45 in-service surgical nurses in People′s Hospital of Pingxiang City were selected to conduct a questionnaire survey to understand the status quo of surgical nurses′ knowledge, belief and practice in perioperative vascular management, and analyze the factors affecting the status quo of knowledge, belief and practice. Results Among 45 in-service surgical nurses, 31 cases(68.89%) had good knowledge and practice status, while 14 cases (31.11%) had bad knowledge and practice status. The results of single factor analysis showed that there was statistically significant difference in the score of nurses with different education level, job title, professional title, working years and relevant training times (P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that education level was low (β=0.065, OR=1.066, 95%CI=0.365-2.162), job level was low (β=0.145, OR=1.331, 95%CI=0.475-3.174), professional title level was low (β=0.211, OR=1.547, 95%CI=0.875-3.406),working years <3 years (β=1.412, OR=2.997, 95%CI=1.522-5.914), related training times <2 times (β=0.623, OR=2.866, 95%CI=0.767-4.878) were risk factors for poor knowledge, belief and practice status (P<0.05). Conclusion Surgical nurses′ knowledge, belief and practice in perioperative blood glucose management are good, but still need to be strengthened. Education level, position, professional title, working years and training times have an impact on the status of knowledge, belief and practice, which can be further optimized and improved on this basis.
