Objective To study the effect of screw acupuncture therapy on postpartum blood pressure of hypertensive disorder complicating pregnancy. Methods A total of 100 postpartum patients with gestational hypertension admitted to Jiangxi Maternal and Child Health Hospital from January to August 2021 were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into observation group and control group by random number table method, with 50 patients in each group.Control group was treated with conventional antihypertensive drugs, observation group was treated with antihypertensive drugs combined with screw acupuncture. The blood pressure control level, blood pressure recovery time, urinary protein turning negative time and the total incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP) and central venous pressure (MAP) levels in observation group were lower than those in control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The levels of SBP, DBP and MAP in the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The recovery rates of blood pressure and urinary protein in the two groups at 3 months postpartum were higher than those at 1 month postpartum, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The recovery rate of blood pressure and urine protein in the observation group were higher than those in the control group at 3 months postpartum, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). There were no statistically significant differences in the incidence rates of infection, fat liquefaction, shortness of breath, insomnia, acupuncture cramps and other complications between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion Screw acupuncture treatment can obviously improve postpartum blood pressure abnormality of hypertensive disorder complicating pregnancy, and has a wide clinical application prospect.
