Abstract:Objective To investigate the influence of sensory integration and residual visual perception combined rehabilitation training on the developmental behavior of children with low vision based on the concept of "international classification of functioning, disability and health".Methods A total of 60 children with low vision screened in Quanzhou Blind School from May 2020 to May 2021 were selected as research objects, they were divided into the observation group(30 cases)and the control group(30 cases)according to the random number table method. The children in the observation group received combined rehabilitation training of sensory integration and residual visual perception while using various visual aids, while the children in the control group only used visual aids. All children were assessed by children sensory integrative function scale(SIFS)and Gesell developmental diagnosis scale(GDDS)before and after training. The SIFS and GDDS scores of the two groups before and after training were statistically analyzed by paired sample t-test.Results There were no significant differences in the scores of vestibular sensation, tactile defense, ontological sense, learning ability, adaptive behavior, grand motor, fine motor, language and language and personal-social behavior between the two groups before training(P>0.05).After 6 months of training, the scores of vestibular sensation, tactile defense, ontological sense, learning ability, adaptive behavior, grand motor, fine motor, language and language and personal-social behavior in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion Sensory integration and residual visual perception combined with rehabilitation training can improve the developmental behavior of children with low vision.
