Clinical application of neurological intensive care combined with long range video electroencephalogram monitoring in patients with refractory status epilepticus

Abstract：Objective To investigate the clinical application effect of neurological intensive care combined with long range video electroencephalogram monitoring in patients with refractory status epilepticus.Methods A total of 78 patients with refractory status epilepticus who were admitted to ICU of Department of Neurosurgery,Ganzhou People's Hospital from May 2018 to May 2020 were selected as the research subjects.They were divided into the reference group(39 patients)and the study group(39 patients)by the random number table method.Patients in the reference group were treated with neurological intensive care intervention,and patients in the study group were treated with neurological intensive care combined with long range video electroencephalogram monitoring intervention.The clinical disease control effect rate,attack control time,intubation time and incidence of nervous system dysfunction were compared between the two groups.Results The effective rate of clinical disease control in the study group was higher than that in the reference group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The attack control time and intubation time of patients in the study group were shorter than those in the reference group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The incidence of neurological dysfunction in the study group was lower than that in the reference group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion During the treatment of patients with refractory status epilepticus,the application of neurological intensive care combined with long range video electroencephalogram monitoring has a significant effect,which can effectively control the clinical condition,shorten the attack control time and intubation time,and reduce the incidence of neurological dysfunction.
