Abstract:Objective To investigate and study the effect of rational drug use interventions implemented by clinical pharmacists on the incidence of adverse drug reactions during taking medicine. Methods A total of 200 patients admitted to the Department of Respiratory and Cardiology of Suzhou Ninth People′s Hospital from July 2017 to March 2018 were randomly selected as the control group, and 200 patients in the Department of Respiratory and Cardiology of Suzhou Ninth People′s Hospital from March 2018 to November 2019 were selected as the study group. The patients in the control group were not given medication intervention during taking medicine, while the patients in the study group were intervened by clinical pharmacists with rational drug use.The incidence of adverse drug reactions of commonly used drugs (antibiotics, digestive system drugs, anticoagulants,Chinese medicine injections) of departments in the two groups were compared, and the causes of adverse drug reactions (medication dosage error, combined medication, wrong medication method, medication contraindication) were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence of adverse drug reactions of the commonly used drugs (antibacterial, digestive system drugs, anticoagulants,Chinese medicine injections) in the study group after drug intervention were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The proportions of adverse drug reactions in the study group (medication dosage error, combined medication, wrong medication method, medication contraindication) were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Through the effective intervention of rational use of drugs by clinical pharmacists can promote the rational use of drugs, standardize the use of drugs, thus reducing the incidence of adverse drug reactions.
