Abstract:Objective To explore the application of modified Munro assessment scale to assess the risk of pressure ulcer in surgical patients, and the effect of targeted nursing on them. Methods A total of 120 cases of surgical patients admitted to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University from June 2018 to November 2019 were selected as the research objects.According to the random number table method, they were divided into the observation group and the control group,60 cases in each group. The control group received routine intervention, the observation group was based on the modified Munro evaluation scale, after evaluating the basic condition of the patients, according to the risk of pressure ulcers, carrid out targeted nursing intervention. The incidence of pressure ulcers and the duration of hospital stay were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence of pressure ulcers in the observation group was 5.0%,which was lower than that in the control group (16.7%),the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The duration of hospital stay in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Based on the modified Munro evaluation scale,it is ideal for patients to implement targeted nursing intervention, which is helpful to reduce the incidence of pressure ulcers and shorten hospital stay of patients. It is worthy of popularization and application.
