Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of acupressure points combined with foot reflex therapy on improving hiccup after gastric cancer surgery. Methods A total of 76 patients who had hiccup after radical surgery for gastric cancer in Ganzhou People′s Hospital Affiliated to Nanchang University from February 2015 to June 2015 were selected as the research subjects.According to the stratified randomization method of gender and age,the patients were divided into the observation group (38 cases) and the control group (38 cases). The control group was treated with Anisodamine Acupoint Injections, and the observation group was additionally given acupressure points combined with foot reflex massage. The improvement of hiccup symptoms and the attack frequency and duration were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the improvement of hiccup symptoms in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05).At 1 d after treatment, the attack frequency and duration were (8.3±2.6) times/d and (10.3±2.6) min/times in the observation group, which were lower than those in the control group of (12.5±1.4) times/d and (14.2±3.5) min/times.At 2 d after treatment, there were no statistically significant differences in the attack frequency and duration between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion Acupressure points combined with foot reflex therapy can effectively improve the attack frequency and duration of hiccup after gastric cancer surgery, and can be used for clinical treatment.
