Abstract:Objective To explore the application of structured diabetes education program (PEP) in the initial treatment of type 2 diabetes with insulin. Methods From January 2018 to January 2019,100 cases of patients with type 2 diabetes in the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University were selected as the research objects, according to the random number table method, they were divided into PEP group (50 cases) and the non PEP group (50 cases).PEP group specified by regular guidance patients nursing regularity and traditional nursing mode, the non PEP group adopted the traditional nursing method, the survey data were compared in two groups in self-care rating scale (ECCA) and quality of life scale (MLHFQ) scores. Results The scores of ECCA and MLHFQ in the PEP group were higher than those in the non-PEP group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Three months after nursing, the ECCA level of PEP group was higher than that of non-PEP group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The MLHFQ score of PEP group was higher than that of non PEP group 3 months after nursing, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The total satisfaction of PEP t group was 90%,and that of non PEP group was 40%.The total satisfaction of patients in PEP group was higher than that of non PEP group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion The nursing effect of PEP program in diabetic patients with initial insulin treatment is significant, which can improve their self-care ability, improve their quality of life, and reduce the number of rehospitalizations.
