Abstract：Since the outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) for two months,the fight against epidemic situation has been taken as the most important work in hospitals of all-levels in China.Because of the requirements of epidemic prevention and control,general surgery focuses on emergency operation.It is a severe challenge to how effectively prevent nosocomial infection and avoid the occurrence of clustered epidemic events,and actively carry out emergency surgical treatment for critical patients right now.Based on the experience of diagnosis and treatment of acute calculous cholecystitis (ACC) in three elderly patients in Beijing Electric Power Hospital,State Grid Corporation during the severe period of COVID-19 epidemic from February 27 to 29,2020,this paper further discusses the full process of epidemic protection,the necessity and selection of surgical procedures for elderly patients with ACC,so as to provide reference for timely surgical treatment and effective epidemic protection of elderly patients in general surgery during the COVID-19 epidemic.
