Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical application effect of multi-point blood collection with intravenous indwelling needle in glucose tolerance test. Methods From February to October 2019,80 patients who underwent glucose tolerance test in our hospital were selected as the research objects and divided into the control group and the observation group by blind selection and grouping method, with 40 cases in each group. In the control group, routine venipuncture was used for blood collection, while in the observation group, intravenous indwelling needle was used for multi-point blood collection.Blood glucose levels, systolic blood pressure, mental stress and disease severity of the two groups were compared at each time point of blood collection. Results There were no statistically significant differences in the blood glucose levels between the two groups on fasting and 30 minutes,1,2 and 3 hours after taking glucose (P>0.05).After blood collection, the systolic blood pressure of the observation group at each time point was lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).After blood collection, the mental stress and disease severity scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion In patients with glucose tolerance test, the multi-point blood collection method of intravenous indwelling needle is used for blood collection, which can effectively avoid a greater impact on their mental state and blood pressure, and can obtain blood glucose test results similar to conventional blood collection method, which is worthy of popularization and application.
