Abstract:Objective To analyze the independent risk factors for clinical pregnancy rate of intra-uterine insemination(IUI) with male factors.Methods Clinical data of 966 cycles of IUI patients who were admitted to Shantou Central Hospital in Guangdong Province from January 2013 to October 2018 were retrospectively analyzed.The relationship between IUI pregnancy rate and factors such as the age of the female,the age of the male,infertility duration,infertility program,type of infertility,number of IUI cycles,total number of forward sperm after treatment was investigated.Results The single-factor analysis results indicated that there were no statistically significant differences in the pregnancy rates among the age of the female,the age of the male,infertility program,type of infertility and the number of IUI cycles (P>0.05).The pregnancy rate of infertility duration ≤3 years was higher than infertility duration >3 years,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The pregnancy rate of the total number of forward sperm after treatment>107 was higher than the total number of forward sperm after treatment ≤107,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The multiple-factor analysis results indicated that the infertility duration ≤3 years (β=0.459,OR=1.582,95%CI=1.055-2.372) and the total number of forward sperm after treatment >107 (β=0.671,OR=1.114,95%CI=0.289-1.385) were risk factors of IUI clinical pregnancy rate (P<0.05).Conclusion The infertility duration and the total number of forward sperm after treatment are independent risk factors for the clinical pregnancy rate,while the age of the female,the age of the male,infertility program,the type of infertility and the number of IUI cycles have no significant effect.
