Abstract:Interleukin-33 (IL-33),as an inflammatory factor, plays an important role in diseases of cardiovascular system, digestive system, respiratory system, tumors and other diseases, especially in the central nervous system, which is the current hot spot. However, the function of IL-33 in some diseases of central nervous system remains controversial. This review explained the pathogenesis, latest research advances, the potential prediction and therapeutic value of IL-33 in kinds of central nervous system diseases (4 types of intracranial infection,2 kinds of cerebrovascular disease, cognitive impairment, depression and glioma were included) through consulting a lot of literature.
