Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of family collaborative care model on cognitive function and quality of life of patients with mild to moderate senile dementia (AD). Methods A total of 60 patients with first mild to moderate AD admitted to our hospital from October 2018 to September 2019 were selected as the study subjects. The intervention method of family collaborative care model was implemented for 6 months. The Chinese version of the mini-mental state examination (MMSE) and the quality of life-Alzheimer′s disease scale (QOL-AD) were used to evaluate the cognitive function and quality of life of patients with AD before and after intervention. Results After the intervention, the scores of cognitive function directionality, memory, attention and computation, recall, language in senile AD patients and total score of MMSE were higher than before the intervention, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). After the intervention, the scores of each item in the quality of life and and its total scores were higher than before the intervention, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The intervention method of family collaborative care model can improve the cognitive function of patients and their quality of life with first mild and moderate AD.
