Influence of systemic functional exercise combined with pelvic floor neuromuscular electrical stimulation on urinary retention in patients with gynecological malignant tumor after operation

Abstract:Objective To investigate the influence of systemic functional exercise combined with pelvic floor neuromuscular electrical stimulation on urinary retention in patients with gynecologic malignant tumors. Methods From October 2016 to November 2018, 48 patients with gynecological malignant tumors were selected as the subjects of study,and divided into the control group (n=24) and the observation group (n=24). The control group used conventional nursing program, the observation group used systemic functional exercise combined with basin neuromuscular electrical stimulation for rehabilitation care, the incidence of urinary retention, urinary catheter indwelling time, residual urine volume and nursing satisfaction were compared between two groups. Results The nursing total satisfaction rate of the observation group (95.83%) was higher than that of the control group (70.83%), the total incidence of urinary retention(16.67%) was lower than that of the control group (45.83%), and the catheter indwelling time was (53.41±10.52) h of the observation group, which was short than that in the control group of (68.59±11.62) h, the residual urine volume was(21.64±10.64) ml of the observation group, which was less than that of the control group of (41.03±11.86) ml, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Systemic functional exercise combined with pelvic floor neuromuscular electrical stimulation can significantly reduce the probability of urinary retention in patients with gynecologic malignant tumors, shorten the retention time of the urethra and reduce residual urine volume, which has important clinical application significance.
