Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of people-oriented nursing concept applied to patients with rectal cancer undergoing radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Methods A total of 84 patients with rectal cancer who were admitted to our hospital from March 2018 to March 2019 treated with radiotherapy and chemotherapy were selected. They were divided into two groups by blue white dichroic method, 42 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing. The observation group was given people-oriented nursing concept, and the application effect of the two groups was compared. Results There were no significant differences in the scores of anxiety, depression and quality of life between the two groups before nursing (P>0.05); the score of anxiety was (37.25±5.28) points and depression score was (38.28±6.27) points in the observation group after nursing, which were lower than those in the control group of(43.21±5.37) and (45.36±6.41) points, with statistical differences (P<0.05). The score of quality of life was (75.31±7.46)points in the observation group, which was higher than that of the control group of (69.35±8.21) points, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The total incidence of complications in the observation group (19.05%) was lower than that in the control group (45.24%), the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The application effect of people-oriented nursing concept in the radiotherapy and chemotherapy of rectal cancer patients can effectively alleviate the negative emotions of patients, reduce complications and improve the quality of life.
