Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of hypothyroidism screening on pregnancy outcome before and during pregnancy. Methods The clinical data of 300 women before and during pregnancy in Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Ruijin City from July 2017 to November 2019 were selected for retrospective analysis, 150 women who did not participate in the hypothyroidism screening were selected as the control group, and 150 women who participate in the hypothyroidism screening were selected as the observation group. The incidence of adverse pregnancy, hypothyroidism and fetal growth restriction between the two groups were compared. Results The test results of 300 women before and during pregnancy showed that there were 37 cases of hypothyroidism, and the incidence was 12.33%. The incidence of hypothyroidism in the observation group was 11.33%, while that in the control group was 13.33%, there was no significant difference in the incidence of hypothyroidism between the two groups (P>0.05). The rate of fetal growth restriction in the observation group (1.33%) was lower than that in the control group (6.00%), the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The total incidence of adverse pregnancy outcomes as abortion, premature delivery, pregnancy induced hypertension syndrome, placental abruption and low birth weight infants in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The screening of hypothyroidism before and during pregnancy can effectively improve the pregnancy outcome and promote the normal development of fetus, which is worthy of promotion.
