Abstract:Objective To explore the effects of self-role recognition nursing on mental status, social skills and quality of life of female patients with schizophrenia. Methods Eighty female patients with schizophrenia who were admitted to psychiatry department of the hospital from June 2015 to June 2018 were selected and divided into observation group and control group by the random number table method, 40 cases in each group. All subjects were treated with the same drugs and other symptomatic treatments. On this basis, the patients in control group were given routine nursing, the patients in observation group were given self-role recognition nursing. After 3 months of intervention, the improvement of mental status, social skills and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, the positive and negative syndrome scale (PANSS) scores of both groups were lower than before intervention, while the scale of social function in psychosis inpatients (SSPI) scores were higher than befor intervention, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05); the PANSS score of observation group after intervention was lower than that of the control group, while the SSPI score was higher than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). After intervention, scores of all dimensions in the short-form 36 item health survey questionnaire (SF-36) of both groups were higher than before intervention, and the SF-36 scores of observation groups were higher than those of control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Self-recognition nursing can significantly improve the mental state of female patients with schizophrenia, improve their social skills and quality of life, and accelerate the recovery of patients. It has high clinical promotion value.
