Effect of thoracic paravertebral nerve block on patients with single-port thoracoscopic radical resection of lung cancer |

Abstract Objective To explore the effect of thoracic paravertebral nerve block (TPVB) on patients with single-port thoracoscopic radical surgery for lung cancer.Methods A total of 60 patients with single-port thoracoscopic radical resection of lung cancer treated in Shangrao People′s Hospital from May 2018 to May 2020 were selected as the research objects.According to the random number table method, they were divided into the experimental group and the control group, with 30 cases in each group.The control group was treated with simple general anesthesia, and the experimental group was treated with TPVB before anesthesia induction.The pain, the concentration of norepinephrine (NE), blood pressure, heart rate, and the dosage of sufentanil after surgery were compared between the two groups at different time points after surgery.Results The visual analogue scores (VAS) of the experimental group 2, 12, 24, 36 and 48 h after surgery were lower than those of the control group, the NE values of the experimental group at 5 min (T1) after thoracoscopic cannula insertion, immediately after the close of chest cavity (T2), 6 h after surgery (T3), and 24 h after surgery(T4) were lower than those of the control group, the systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, and heart rate were lower than the control group at the beginning, during and at the end of the surgery and the dosage of sufentanil was lower than that of the control group at the end of the surgery, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Thoracic paravertebral nerve block can improve the postoperative analgesia effect of patients with singlehole thoracoscopic lung cancer radical surgery, reduce the use of anesthetic drugs, and can effectively stabilize the heart rate and blood pressure of patients.
