Abstract Objective To investigate the expression and clinical significance of the G protein-coupled receptor 37(GPR37) in lung adenocarcinoma. Methods RNA sequences and clinical data from 510 lung adenocarcinoma tissues(tumor group)were downloaded from the cancer genome stlas (TCGA) database, including 56 paracancerous tissues(paracancerous control group). The correlation between GPR37 expression and clinicopathological features of lung adenocarcinoma was analyzed and compared. Results The expression level of GPR37 in the tumor group was higher than that in the paracancerons control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Univariate COX logistic regression analysis showed that the expression level of GPR37 was not correlated with gender, age and M stage, and the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05), but was correlated with T stage and N stage, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The results of survival prognosis analysis showed that the expression level of GPR37 was significantly correlated with the prognosis of patients with lung adenocarcinoma, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The higher the expression was, the worse the prognosis was.Multivariate COX risk scale model results showed that high GPR37 expression level and stage were independent risk factors for poor prognosis in patients with lung adenocarcinoma. Conclusion According to the high expression of GPR37 in lung adenocarcinoma,it is speculated that GPR37 may play a certain role in the occurrence and development of lung adenocarcinoma, thus affecting the prognosis of patients with lung adenocarcinoma. Therefore, GPR37 can be used as a potential therapeutic target or diagnostic marker for lung adenocarcinoma.
