Application effect of systematic health education in patients with schizophrenia complicated with diabetes mellitus |

Abstract Objective To explore the application effect of systematic health education in patients with schizophrenia complicated with diabetes mellitus.Methods All of 52 patients with schizophrenia complicated with diabetes mellitus treated in our hospital from January 2016 to December 2017 were selected and they were randomly divided into the observation group and control group,and there were 26 cases in each group.The control group was given the routine health education.The observation group was given systematic health education conducted by nurses on the basis of routine health education methods.The compliance of medication,diet and exercise,the effect of blood glucose and blood pressure control,and satisfaction degree of nursing were observed and compared between the two groups.Results After intervention,the compliance rates of medication,diet,exercise,the achievement rate of blood sugar and blood pressure in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group,and the total satisfaction degree of nursing in the observation group was 96.15%,which was significantly higher than that in the control group(84.62%),and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Systematic health education applied can improve the compliance of patients with schizophrenia complicated with diabetes mellitus,effectively control blood glucose and blood pressure level,improve patients′satisfaction degree,and it is worthy of clinical promotion.
