Abstract ObjectiveTo discuss the diagnostic value of high-frequency ultrasound in the plantar lesions.MethodsFrom January 2015 to December 2017,the ultrasonographic data of 785 patientswith sole lesions of the foot in our hospitalwere analyzed retrospectively,and summarized the ultrasonographic features of the common plantar lesions.ResultsThemain types of plantar lesions in 785 cases included plantar inflammation,plantar foreign body,plantar lump,and the plantar trauma.Plantar inflammation mainly included plantar fat pad,plantar fasciitis.Themost common of plantar lump were the ganglion of the tendon sheath,the giant cell tumor of the tendon sheath,the epidermoid cyst and the hemangioma.The plantar trauma were mainly included tendinopathy and tendon rupture.Plantar inflammation,plantar foreign body,plantarmass,plantar trauma had typical sonographic features.The accuracy of high frequency ultrasound in the diagnosis of plantar inflammation,plantar tumor,plantar injury and plantar foreign body were 93.96%,94.44%,98.27%and 100.00%,respectively.ConclusionThe sound image of the common foot lesions has certain characteristics,regularity and specificity.High frequency ultrasound can detect the common plantar lesionsmore accurately and quickly.It can be used to identify and diagnose the type and nature of plantar lesions.Which is an effective imagingmethod for the diagnosis of plantar lesions.
