Abstract Tranexamic Acid (TXA)as amedicaments is widely used to control bleeding during the operation of total knee arthroplasty(TKA).At present,there is a lot of reports about the effect of TXA to reduce blooloss in the perioperative of TKA.However,we could not reach a consensus about the way of how to apply TXA effectively and normatively.With an ageing population transformation in our country,more and more patients have an attack of knee osteoarthritis.An increasing number of doctors and patients have accept the opinions of TKA to treat the disease,and it is particularly important to control the total blood loss of TKA.In recent years,the research of TXA which is applied to TKA has become a research hotspot.The article reviews the progress in the application of TXA in knee arthroplasty.
