Abstract Objective To explore the clinical effect of carbon dioxide laser under suspension laryngoscopy in the treatment of early glottic carcinoma. Methods Thirty patients with early glottic laryngeal cancer admitted to the Jiujiang First People′s Hospital from January 2019 to June 2020 were selected as the research subjects and divided into control group(n=15)and treatment group(n=15)according to random number table method. The control group were treated with local laryngectomy for dehiscence, and the treatment group were treated with carbon dioxide laser under suspension laryngoscope. The treatment effect, quality of life, voice function, survival rate and recurrence rate were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate and survival rate in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in preoperative quality of life scores between the two groups(P>0.05).Three months after operation, the quality of life score of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in voice function between the two groups before operation(P>0.05).Three months after surgery, the longest vocalization time in the observation group was longer than that in the control group, the sound pressure level was higher than that in the control group, and the fundamental frequency perturbation was lower than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Three months after operation, the recurrence rate of the treatment group was 6.67%(1/15),lower than that of the control group(46.67%,7/15),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The diagnosis and treatment of early glottic cancer using carbon dioxide laser under suspension laryngoscope is ideal. It can accurately remove the tumor, with high repeatability and safety, which minimizes the impact of the body pain caused by the nasogastric tube.It can achieve the effect of true minimally invasive treatment.
