Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of pressure gloves combined with simple palmar carpal butt in the treatment of hemiplegic shoulder-hand syndrome. Methods A total of 75 patients with hemiplegic shoulder-hand syndrome treated in Huizhou Third People′s Hospital from January 2019 to October 2020 were selected as subjects. The patients were divided into three groups by the random number table method, 25 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine rehabilitation, experimental group 1 wore simple palmar carpal butt on the basis of routine rehabilitation treatment, and experimental group 2 wore pressure gloves on the basis of experimental group 1. The degree of hand swelling and the movement of metacarpophalangeal joints were compared before treatment and after 2 weeks of treatment. Results There were no statistically significant differences in the degree of hand swelling and movement of the metacarpophalangeal joints among the three groups before treatment (P>0.05). The hand swelling degree of the three groups after 2 weeks of treatment was lower than that before treatment, and the movement of metacarpophalangeal joints was higher than that before treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The hand swelling degree after 2 weeks of treatment of the experimental group 1 and experimental group 2 was lower than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The hand swelling degree after 2 weeks of treatment in the experimental group 2 was lower than that in the experimental group 1,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The movement of metacarpophalangeal joints in the experimental group 1 and experimental group 2 after 2 weeks of treatment was lower than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The movement of metacarpophalangeal joints after 2 weeks of treatment in the experimental group 2 was lower than that in the experimental group 1, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of pressure gloves combined with simple palmar carpal butt in clinical treatment of hemiplegic shoulder-hand syndrome can improve the therapeutic effect, reduce the degree of hand swelling and improve the movement of metacarpophalangeal joints.
