Effect of Probiotics Buccal Tablets combined with basic periodontal treatment on oral microecology of patients with chronic periodontitis accompanied by bad breath

Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of Probiotics Buccal Tablets combined with basic periodontal treatment on oral microecology of patients with chronic periodontitis accompanied by bad breath.Methods A total of 74 patients with chronic periodontitis accompanied by bad breath treated in our hospital from February 2016 to February 2019 were selected as the research subjects.They were divided into the observation group (n=37) and the control group (n=37) according to the random number table method.Basic periodontal treatment was used in the control group.In the observation group, Probiotics Buccal Tablets combined with basic periodontal treatment was adopted.The salivary interleukin-6, interleukin-10, oral pathogenic flora, matrix metalloproteinase-9 levels and treatment effect were compared in the two groups.Results The levels of salivary interleukin-6 and matrix metalloproteinase-9 in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The level of interleukin-10 in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The oral pathogenic bacteria in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The total effectiveness rate of clinical treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion In patients with chronic periodontitis accompanied by bad breath, the use of Probiotics Buccal Tablets combined with periodontal basic treatment can effectively reduce the levels of interleukin-6 and matrix metalloproteinase-9, increase interleukin-10 level, and improve oral pathogenic flora.It can obtain a favorable clinical treatment effect, with certain application value, and should be widely used in the clinic.
