Abstract:ObjectiveTo explore the relationship between acute left heart failure, mitral stenosis complicated with acute pulmonary edema and circulation N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP).MethodsFrom January 2013 to January 2016,patientswith acute left heart failure(the study group,n=72)ormitral stenosis complicated with acute pulmonary edema (the control group,n=27)in our hospital were selected. The cardiac function and plasma NT-proBNP concentration were analyzed, and the relationship between different cardiac functional grading and plasma NT-proBNP concentration in the study group was analyzed.ResultsThere was no significant difference for percentage of patients with different cardiac functional grading between two groups (χ2=29.9332,P<0.01).There was no significant difference for percentage of patients with NYHA gradeⅢ (χ2=2.905,P=0.088).Percentage of patients with NYHA gradeⅡand Ⅳin two groups had a statistical difference(χ2=29.236,14.243,P<0.01),and variance analysis showed that there was a significant difference of plasma NT-proBNP concentration in patients with different cardiac functional grading (P< 0.01).ConclusionExamination of plasma NT-proBNP concentration is easy and simple with good accuracy, which can be considered as one of reliable indexes to quickly distinguish acute left ventricular failure and mitral edema associated complicated with pulmonary edema and it has a better practicability to reflect and evaluate cardiac function of patients.
