Determination of calcitonin original application in patients with syphilis diagnosis and treatment

Abstract：ObjectiveTo explore the calcitonin original determination application in patients with Syphilis diagnosis and treatment.MethodsFrom January 2015 to September 2016,151 patients with Syphilis（observation group）were given immunofluorescence chromatography,160 patients healthy subjects were sleeted at the same time as control group. The changes of serum procalcitonin PCT level was compared between the two groups.ResultsPCT in the observation group was（8.7±1.1）ng/ml and the control group was（0.3±0.1）ng/ml before the treatment,the difference was significant （t=96.182,P=0.000）.The positive rate of PCT was 93.9%in the patients with stageⅠSyphilis in the observation group, the positive rate of PCT was 60.0%in the patients with stageⅡ Syphilis,the positive rate of PCT was 42.1%in the patients with stageⅢSyphilis,the positive rate of PCT was 20.0%in the patients with latent Syphilis,the positive rate of PCT was 90.9%in the patients with congenital Syphilis,and the positive rate of PCT was 84.6%in the patients with pregnancy Syphilis,there were significant differences（χ2=99.901,P=0.000）.ConclusionThe application value of procalcitonin determination in the diagnosis and treatment of Syphilis is of great value,which can provide important information for the clinical diagnosis and treatment.
