Abstract:Objective To investigate the current situation of low-aged nurses in hospital workplace violence and analyze their countermeasures.Methods A total of 200 newly recruited nurses in Department of Cardiology,Jiangxi Provincial People′s Hospital from January 2018 to September 2020 were investigated on their status quo and psychological status of being subjected to hospital workplace violence.The nurses who suffered from violence were given special training to avoid violence,and the psychological status before and after intervention was compared.Results Among the survey respondents,134 nurses (67.00%) had experienced hospital violence,and the violence was mainly verbal abuse(63.00%).Nurses were more likely to feel angry (73.50%) and aggrieved (65.50%) after experiencing hospital violence.The scores of various factors of Symptom Checklist-90 items after training were lower than those before training,the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion A large number of low seniority nurses in department of cardiology suffer from hospital violence which has a negative impact on their psychology.Special training on avoiding violence is helpful to improve the psychological health of nurses.
