Abstract:Objective To explore the application of integrated positive pressure needle-free indwelling needle in intravenous therapy of drug addicts. Methods A total of 150 drug addicts admitted to Affiliated Haikou Hospital of Xiangya Medical College, Central South University from January 2018 to December 2019 were selected as the research objects and divided into the observation group (50 cases), and the control group 1 (50 cases), and control group 2 (50 cases) according to the random number table method. The observation group:was integrated positive pressure needle-free indwenting-needle infusion;control group 1 was used 24 G closed indwerable needle connected with heparin cap infusion;control group 2 was used closed indwelling needle connection separator diaphragm without needle joint infusion. The duration of indwelling and complications during indwelling were compared among the three groups (blocked tube, needle puncture wound, intraductal blood loss, phlebitis, extravasation, and extravasation at puncture point). Results The indwelling time of the needle in the observation group, the control group 1 and the control group 2 were (4.89±0.21) d, (3.32±0.28) d and (3.87±0.28) d respectively, which was longer than that in the control group 1 and the control group 2, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The proportion of cases in the observation group, the control group 1 and the control group 2 during the indwelling of the indwelling needle were 4%, 0%,10%;28%,16%,72%;28%,16%, 72% respectively. The incidence of blocked tubes, needle stick injuries, and intrathecal blood recovery in the observation group were lower than that in the control group 1 and 2, with statistical differences (P<0.05).The propotion of the cases of phlebitis, extravasation and blood extravasation at the puncture point during indwelling needle in the observation group, the control group 1 and the control group 2 were 16%, 6%, 8%;12%, 12%, 16%;12%, 12%, 16% respectively, the phlebitis, extravasation, and extravasation at puncture point in the observation group were compared with those in control group 1 and control group 2 showing no statistically significant differences (P>0.05).Conclusion Integrated positive pressure needle-free indwelling needle indwelling needle can prevent tube plugging, prolong catheter indwelling time, reduce vascular damage caused by repeated puncture and puncture times, protect blood vessels of patients, and reduce the occurrence of phlebitis.
