Abstract:Objective To explore the expression and significance of interleukin-1β (IL-1β), matrix metalloproteinase-7(MMP-7) and recombinant syndecan-1 (SDC-1) in endometriosis. Methods A total of 100 patients with active endometriosis who were hospitalized in Bao′an Central Hospital of Shenzhen City from January 2019 to December 2020 were randomly selected as the research objects.According to the revised American Fertility Society, the study subjects were divided into mild group and moderate to severe group, 50 cases in each group, and 50 healthy women were selected as the control group during the same period. The enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method was used to detect and compare the levels of serum IL-1β, MMP-7 and SDC-1 in each group, and the relationship between the expression of IL-1β, MMP-7 and SDC-1 and r-AFS score was analyzed. Results The expression levels of IL-1β,MMP-7 and SDC-1 in the moderate to severe group were higher than those in the mild group and the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The expression levels of IL-1β, MMP-7 and SDC-1 in the mild group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Correlation analysis showed that the expressions of IL-1β, MMP-7 and SDC-1 were significantly positively correlated with endometriosis activity (r=0.78, 0.85, 0.82, P<0.05).Conclusion IL-1β, MMP-7 and SDC-1 are highly expressed in endometriosis, and the three may cooperate with each other to promote the occurrence and development of endometriosis lesions.
